To be totally honest I dont like it Crying or Very sad

I wish I did, I really feel from this beta that its a game that might have been good before BF2 and BF2142 was released Laughing

but feels dated Crying or Very sad

lets just hope that they improve it dramaticly beofre release or i aint getting it i will now wait for the demo to be released if this is good i may consider getting it if not well tough

After watching all the vid's on the ETQW website and waiting for soooo long for this game and forking out £20 to subscribe to FilePlanet I hope I ain't gonna be disappointed Crying or Very sad

Still, the fast downloads for patches etc. as a registered user are nice!

What's the general feeling - same old same old type of game, a BF2 rip-off?

I think your in for a big disappointment unfortunately Crying or Very sad

I saw the ingame movies around a year a go and the game look great Exclamation

But even though this is a beta the game has been in the making for over 2 years so I guess this is pretty much it and we are just checking for bugs glitches etc.
Have no idea why they have made it so arcady Question

Running everything on high or ultra and the game still looks like shite, some of the effects are cool like the fire but seriously the graphics on 2142 look better and thats just BF2 with a futuristic skin and a few nice touches.

Even the weapons have disappointed me, they all seem very samey altho there are a few cool things like the teleporter that snipers can use.

All in all, the gameplay is ok, the vehicles are pretty much the same as the Battlefield series except the jet pack ofcourse and the graphics are mediocre.

Will be expecting more from the demo otherwise i'll be going back to 2142 in the near future.

too me it was not even an fps it was one of those annoying games where u just run round with the fire butoon pressed and hope to god u hit summut i.e a shoot-em-up this game need to be revived as assasin will tell u i was in the like jet pack thing for the strogg and i just kept the fire button pressed very disappointing i think splash damage and activision will take a pounding if they release the game graphically as is hell even spider solitare is better then this game and thats saying summut

Have to report the same im affraid dated graphics not very comfortable gameplay. From what i see ither the beta is just toned down or perhaps theve decided to tone the game down to allow more players to be able to play the game.

If so its a shame cause it was looking great to begin with tbh stuff those with slow pcs IMO they should focus on the high end gamers and make something spectacular.

I turned it off after someone keeped jumping about with some jetpack thing launching grenades at me. No skill to it, just bounching about pressing fire - and i thought bunny hopping in bf was bad!!

Sorry to say, i've cancelled my pre-order with game and will not be buying it.

I suppose thats what betas and demo's are for - there was alot of hype with this game, and i thought with teh delays they might be improving it, but in the extra time they took they seemed to have ruined it from the first screenshots i saw.

Shame really, but at least we've all had the chance to make our decisions before forking out alot of money and we'll just have to wait for the next game in the line.

Munter - Fileplanet is worth it when they bring out patches for things as 9times out of then their downloader is quick - especially with bf2 patches that they release on a weekly basis to balls up the game some more Smile

Not actually for everyone! most of yesterday on the max download link I was getting 50ish kb sec Crying or Very sad

Also Slaggy was only getting around 60kb
