Hi Y O D
I think your prob is to do with the file in BF2 file, that has the information about latency compensation blah blah.
It may have got corrupt and Some servers compare the hash to the original file hash, and kick for modified files, not all servers do.
You should be able to repair it , I cant remember if when you click the "uninstall" tab in BF2 if you get the option to "Repair" if you do then click repair, when done try to go into a game and see if it happens again.
Hope it helps
Cheers

Hi
A lot of the Dutch servers scan for original file hash, and kick for modified files, I personally think it's wrong that Game Makers are adding in that everyone has to be bound by a global 100ms latency or whatever,
so dependant on your connection speed and your location to the server you could end up on a well high ping and not know it but hey on the other hand it makes it fair.
Cheers

I kno about the latency fing but left it alone as 90% of the time i get a good ping plus with the knowledge i have of pc i find its better to leave fiddling well alone My bruv also said on the same server he was also kicked by pb for putting a claymore on the flag, but he was a medic and unless there's a new unlock i aint heard about medic's canny do clays
anyway the little shit needs to get his own copy of bf and get in the clan the wee tike |

only thing i can suggest is are you running bf2 as admin??? right click, select properties, compatability, then tick the box for run as administrator.
i've had this happen to me a few times. usually when a new map is loading. i'll get kicked and it'll say the thing about modified content. but only happens occassionally. |

BF2 a mod you say? nah, thats how the BF2, and BF2142, works.
Everything related to BF2- ie, textures, sound, objects are stored as BF2 in the mod file because BF2 is actually a mod, if you will, of the engine. For those that have Special Forces installed you'll see 'xpack' beside your bf2 folder- thats because Special Forces is also a mod of the same engine.
Strangely enough, BF2/2142 contains a Python folder- Python's actually a sort of programming language- though i havent the foggest how it works
Most games the game is usually docked/synced with the engine, so there file hierarchial appears as one, but BF2/BF2142 runs the engine and then the game parameters/mod files dictate how it runs. |

Some servers use a modification which can kick you if you have altered your ping or hit registration settings. I dont expect youve changed these settings but if you have try restoring them to their default positions.
You could also try downloading the latest PB here http://www.evenbalance.com/index.php?page=support-bf2.php
Once youve downloaded and installed the PB files locate them and execute them by double clicking its icon. They should be in your BF2 folder somewhere. |
