the server is thriving toningt with full server of 30 people

perhaps should consider making more room for others to come on

maybe the 64 rotor could come back soon

Would be great to see a 64 player server again, but please remember its still fairly hard starting a 32 player that needs 6 players to get it going... the 64 map size needs 8.
The server peaked 30 at one point but on average its been around 20 to 25 etc. lets see if we can keep numbers up and see if there support is still there.

I'll be perfectly honest, back when i first joined the clan it was 64 map sizes and the server wasn't as dead as it has been, it did have moments where it was dead, but it was busier then than what it is now.

The only surge in numbers we'll see is when the 1.50 patch reveals itself sometime this winter.

There is no point bringing back the 64 player server.

32 player has always been the best for BF2, the 64 player maps have way too much air support and armor, its bad enough on 32 player but bearable.

With all the new games coming out this winter BF2 is only going to get quieter and quieter until it gets to the point where only the stubborn hardcore BF2 originals play it.

Good job to all those who keep the server running tho, i did try a few times to come back to BF2 to help support the Res server but after playing so much COD4 i just couldn't deal with how it plays in comparison.

I just hope someday we all find a new game we can all play together instead of being split between half a dozen MMO's and a few FPS's, i miss the old days of Res and having 20+ people in one channel on one game.

Back when you joined players numbers across the world were prob 10 fold on what we got now Laughing

This is the main problem hundreds and hundreds of servers and not enough players to go around. Many servers are struggling even the most popluar servers at times.

Also back then we had far more member interest / Support

I think the big problem is when servers take a while to start, people look at alternatives to play.

Not just different servers but also games.

I did the same a few months ago, when BF2 was quiet and you sit on the server for 30/40 mins with nothing happening you look at other things to do.

Im sure the same has happened throughout the gaming world. As soon as people find a new game, they only go back to the old one every now and again.

I have started to come back into the game a bit now, but how long that will be for I dont know.

Like Wicker says hopefully the patch will respark a bit of interest.

The new map rotation definitely helps, it is more interesting than previous.

Hopefully it will keep it going.
