bad company 2 hacked already

yep, after a week the nob heads have hacked this game already

just been reading on the bad company forums and spotted some posts about it.
hopefully once pb is enabled it'll sort it. fingers crossed

pb will sort this out and if it is something pb cant sort out then ea will before release etc..

The trouble is Pb will not sort it out long term, neither will EA. Persistant hackers don't care about bans or stat wipes, they just like causing havoc. So maybe Pb picks up on a hack and scans for it, but the hacker makes a few code alterations and the hack reappears once the hacker figures out what Pb is looking for. It's a constant battle, with as many programming savvy hackers as there are programmers trying to stop them. I'm just surprised it's took this long for the first hacks to show themselves. Hardware bans? No problem, get yourself a hardware spoofer. IP ban? Another proxy over here please. As long as a PC needs software client side to play a game, hackers will find a way to adjust the code to their advantage. Sad

Ask yourselves this. How many out of control hackers did we get on our COD4 and COD:W@W servers, which both had PB support? I don't remember any.

I remember plenty of guys getting PB kicked before they could even get into game though Smile

PB pretty much made our server safe long term imo (during the time I played COD4 and W@W).

Unfortunately hacking is part and parcel of the FPS gaming environment but I'm sure DICE/EA/PB will be all over it.

A well contolled server with smart admin will easily get on top of the mad hacker, thats why it pays to play on servers like ours. Your average crazy will soon move to pastures new when he gets booted and banned quickly. Laughing

quite honestly i try not to think about hackers/cheats too much as i reckon that's the one sure thing that'd put me off online gaming completely
