Hi all, I emailed steam support today in hope I could get a refund for a pre-purchase of the Game Medal of Honor.
In all honesty I did not hold out much hope as I explained that I had played the beta and basically didnt like the game and would likely not play the full version.
To my surprise I have just received a Paypal email showing they have refunded me
Very suprised
This is there reply....

| Hello mrix, Thank you for contacting Steam Support. As requested, we have processed a refund to your account. Your confirmation number is: +++++++++++ Your bank or credit card issuer will return the funds to your account - please allow 3-5 business days for the funds to be posted. Please note that we do not normally offer refunds on purchases made online. However, we are happy to make the exception for pre-ordered games if the request is received prior to the release date. Nice one!
Grim, did you try and get a refund after DOW II release by any chance?

I had to kick off and threaten to uninstall steam / spout bollocks about distance selling regulations to get a refund on the first MW. Had pre-ordered whilst drunk and not realised it was a tenner more expensive than from play/game. Asked for refund next day and got nowhere even though was still before launch. Only got the refund after a further two emails complaining.
For all its positives Steam can be a bugger. |

Nice one Mrix, I would have just bought the game had you not boldly gone where no one else had gone before
